Many people claim how God is all-loving, all-knowing, all-mighty.
That God is full of forgiveness, kindness, patience and Mercy.
But from our perspective…
God…
Well…
He doesn’t really seem…
Like the “Good” guy??

I mean, at least, according to a quick google search,
God’s death count??
Is WAY higher than the alleged “Devil’s.”
Interesting…
Is it not??
But then again,
We’re talking about a God who has asked for a man to kill his own son on an altar as a “prove you love me more than your son; you won’t!” Dare.

https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/ot/gen/22?lang=eng
The Mormon/Christain God seems to have a pattern of…well…
Killing.
Which is,
Ironic…
Considering…

https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/ot/ex/20?lang=eng
I think what the Christian God means is that MAN is not allowed to kill…
But GOD is…
Allowing God to retain all power.
Some say that the deaths carried out by God are justified…
“Well, they were wicked! They didn’t obey God!”
You know who else has the same mindset?…
Maybe take a look at some other counties that are very religious, and have killed others for the “crime” of not being born into their religion or due to unbelief;
Look at countries who have gone to war
Who have killed
Over differences in belief…
With God being their justification for it all.

https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/ot/isa/13?lang=eng
Many people tend to justify the deaths of others for the mere, simple “crime”
Of believing differently;
Or even
Nonbelief in one very particular, specific religion.
We think that justifying anyone’s death in the name of a specific religion or spiritual belief system…
Is horrific;
And yet, the Mormon/Christain God?
He’s got quite the track record of doing just that…
And maybe,
He’s even the one that’s still doing it today…

https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/ot/gen/6?lang=eng
If life is so precious in the eyes of God…
How can He Kill so quickly?
So…
Easily?

https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/ot/jer/17?lang=eng
It is said that the devil opposes God;
Hates the followers of God…
And yet…
His “kill count” seems to be significantly lower than God, the alleged “Good Guy.”

https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/ot/jer/18?lang=eng
“Killing them was a mercy from God; it was better that they all died physically than continue to die spiritually!”
You know what that reminds us of?
“Honor killings…”

To us, an “honor killing” seems horrific.
To those that practice?
The killing is merciful;
The same thing the Christian God is very well-known for.
Can you still justify it?
It’s a horrific thing to defend…
Whether it’s done by a man,
Or by “God” Himself.

https://www.britannica.com/topic/honor-killing
The bible is notoriously gorey…
Full of death and destruction…
By God Himself.
But then again,
This is the same God who’s half of His commandments center on His own self-conceit..
This Christian God’s own self-narcissism and superiority above everybody else…

https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/ot/ex/20?lang=eng
“No other gods before Me.”
“No images that don’t depict Me!”
“Don’t worship anyone/thing but Me!”
“Don’t serve anyone but Me!”
“Don’t take MY name in vain!”
“The sabbath day is for sole worship of ME!”
These sound like characteristic traits…
Of a very narcissistic, self-absorbed God for sure…
In fact,
The Christian God is starting to sound a lot like the story of Narcissus, no??

https://medium.com/@paulagadaking552/the-reincarnation-of-narcissus-ad7f2134a310
“Worship me!”
“And only me!”
“I saved you!! So now, you’re obligated to worship me forever until the day you die!”

https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/ot/ex/20?lang=eng
Imagine if anyone else talked the way God did?
If a MAN told people they weren’t allowed to have any images except of him,
If a MAN told people to only serve him,
If a MAN told people not to speak ill on his name,
If a MAN told people they were only allowed to worship him on a specific day of the week…that one day a week was set aside solely for him…
If a MAN murdered and killed thousands of people because they were, in what his personal opinion is, “sinning.”
If a MAN told another man to kill your son for me to prove their loyalty and love to him…
Do we not see it??
Would we follow this man if he did all of this??
If he demanded exact obedience and worship of him and him alone??
No…
No, we would not.
And it’s time we stop pretending that it’s okay to follow anyone who would do these things…
To stop following anyone who would purposefully allow and cause pain on a person just to merely prove loyalty…
“God” or not.

https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/ot/job/2?lang=eng
Even in the case of Job,
It was God who permitted Satan to afflict Job.
Satan did not afflict him without the permission of God…
God could have prevented the suffering of Job…the deaths of his family…his life…
And yet,
He did not.
He wanted to prove that Job was loyal to him;
In a very horrific and unnecessary manner;
The story of a God playing with the lives of mortal, for His own enjoyment and satisfaction.
Even if this Christian God truly did exist…
We would not follow Him…

https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/ot/jer/5?lang=eng
The Christian God loves to be feared…
Not respected.
Not loved.
Feared.

https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/ot/deut/4?lang=eng
Generational fear.
And religions will spin this;
Say it’s “respect, reverence and worship,”
Even “love,”
Not fear…
But based on the stories of death, destruction, souls being cast into fiery infernos for not following or believing in the Christian God…

https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/nt/matt/13?lang=eng
…those stories say otherwise.

https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/nt/matt/10?lang=eng
Religious folk believe that God has their back…
But the second a religious person decides to believe or live differently…
The Christian God stabs them in the back…
For not believing in Him and Him Alone.
The scriptures say to fear the devil,
And NOT fear the God who is notorious for taking physical lives…
Because the devil will torture “rebellious” souls in hell…
And yet…
Who is it that casts those souls into the fiery pits of hell in the first place…?

https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/nt/matt/10?lang=eng
Many religions have different interpretations of what “sin” even is, exactly…
I mean, according to Mormons,
Coffee makes you unworthy for a temple recommend.
And yet,
They follow a God that would consider them less worthy,
For their lack of obedience in regards to drinking coffee??

https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/new-era/2019/08/vaping-coffee-tea-and-marijuana?lang=eng
Imagine your own children.
Would YOU cast your own children out of your presence for all eternity,
Merely because they have a different perspective or take from your own spirituality?
Because they won’t worship you and only you?
Would you kill them for living a life that you consider “sinful” in comparison to your own?
Well…
God would.
What would it take from your children, for YOU to put the same punishments on the heads of them as God does?
They say God’s love for “us” as “his children” is tenfold that of the mortal love we have for our own children…
But…
God slaughters His children…
So does love mean death? Spiritual suffering? Never seeing your child again in your presence? Allowing them to suffer forever?

Hundreds of stories of deities and Gods exist.
If you desire a God to worship,
Why choose jealous, angry Gods that kill people for merely not believing in them?
Many other stories and fables of many other Gods exist…

https://www.theoi.com/greek-mythology/greek-gods.html
Why choose to worship such a terrifying, blood-thirsty Christian God?

https://discoveringegypt.com/ancient-egyptian-gods-and-goddesses/
That being said,
The Christian God isn’t the only blood-thirsty God to exist.
So, again…
Choose who you worship wisely.
There’s lots of options of Gods to worship…
I mean, after all,
Maybe ALL the gods actually do exist…
The Christian God did Say “thou shalt have no other gods before me;”
Which goes to show the possible existence of other deities and gods…

https://medium.com/@nyxshadowhawk/an-absolutely-massive-list-of-gods-the-norse-pantheon-7a5262ce2cdc
So maybe it’s time to find a different God to worship that isn’t so full of malice, vengeance, conceit, jealousy, blood lust…
If you feel like you have to worship any “god” at all, that is…

https://education.nationalgeographic.org/resource/gods-and-goddesses-ancient-rome/
I mean…
Why on earth would we worship a God that says such horrific, terrible things regarding his own “beloved” children…
Us??

https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/ot/num/14?lang=eng

https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/ot/jer/17?lang=eng

https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/nt/rev/20?lang=eng

https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/nt/rev/19?lang=eng
Even God Himself, according to scriptures, claims to be a God of division;
Not unity.
So,
Why would you follow this particular Christian God?
One who CLAIMS death, bloodshed, fowls eating your body, division of loved ones…?!

https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/nt/luke/12?lang=eng
Which is why,
Us?
We don’t follow any “Gods;”
At least,
Not in the “traditional sense.”

https://www.humanpotential.school/article/the-gods-archetypes
We “worship” or rather, focus our efforts on certain energies,
Depicted in the metaphorical forms of “gods” and “deities,”
In ways our human minds can best focus our attention on that specific source of energy.

https://www.humanpotential.school/article/the-gods-archetypes
For example:
Aphrodite = energy of love
Gaia = energy of nature and the earth
Nemesis = energy of justice
Apollo = energy of art, music, and poetry
Mars = energy of courage and strength
Why put all of our focus and energy on a jealous, blood-thirsty god that’s focused on exact obedience…
When we can learn how to harness all energies,
And become spiritually well-rounded, in-tune, and peaceful?

https://www.humanpotential.school/article/the-gods-archetypes
So although we may not believe that the gods are necessarily real in the humanoid, embodiment sense…
Their energies are real;
Therefore making the “gods” “real,”
In a sense.
And the energy of the Christian God??
That’s…
Not exactly an energy we would like to embody.
–
Imagine shaming someone for leaving the church –
Because they don’t want to follow the Christian God based on his track record of death, bloodshed, “tests” of loyalty, and horrific depictions of fire, destruction, and familial separation.
